| பொருட்பால்– துறவற இயல்– மானம் (Honour). கடமா தொலைச்சிய கானுறை வேங்கை இடம்வீழ்ந்த துண்ணா திறக்கும்; -இடமுடைய வானகம் கையுறினும் வேண்டார் விழுமியோர் மானம் மழுங்க வரின். மானிகன் விண்ணுலகுந் தம்மானங்கெடக் கிடைப்பதாயின் அதனைவிரும்பார். பொருள்: கடம் மா தொலைச்சியகான் உறை வேங்கை இடம் வீழ்ந்தது உண்ணாதுஇறக்கும் - மதம் பொருந்திய யானையை அதன் வலிதொலைத்து வீழ்த்திய காட்டிலுறையும் புலி, தனக்குஇடப்பக்கம் வீழ்ந்த அவ்வியானையை, தான் பசிமிகுதியால் உயிர்துறக்குந் தறுவாயிலிருப்பினும்,உண்ணாமல் உயிர்விடும்; இடம் உடைய வானகம்கையுறினும் வேண்டார் விழுமியோர் மானம்மழுங்கவரின் - ஆதலால் செல்வப்பெருக்குடையதுறக்கவுலகம் தானே தம் கையகப்படினும் அது தமதுமானம் கெட வருவதாயின் அதனைப் பெரியோர்விரும்பார். Explanation (G. U. POPE): Heaven itself must not he sought at the expense of honour. The jungle-haunting tiger that slays the wild cow, refuses to eat and passes by what has fallen (of itself) in its path (i. e. carrion); so the excellent, though the wide realms of heaven were within their reach, would not desire them, if to be obtained (only) by the loss of honour. | |||||

| Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Satsangam Dwarka, is conducting the Recitation competition of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam amongst the school children at Sri Devi Kamakshi Mandhir , Aruna Asaf ali Road, New Delhi on 8th December, 2013.
