பொருட்பால்– துறவற இயல்– இரவச்சம்(THE DREAD OF MENDICANCY.). இல்லாமை கந்தா இரவு துணிந்தொருவர் செல்லாரும் அல்லர் சிறுநெறி - புல்லா அகம்புகுமின் உண்ணுமின் என்பவர்மாட் டல்லான் முகம்புகுதல் ஆற்றுமோ மேல்? மேலோர் உபசரிப்பவரிடத்தன்றி மற்றையோரிடத்துச் சென்றிரவார். பொருள்:     இல்லாமை கந்தா இரவுதுணிந்து ஒருவர் செல்லாரும் அல்லர் சிறுநெறி -வறுமை காரணமாக இரத்தலுக்குத் துணிந்து அச்சிறுவழியில் ஒருவர் செல்லுங் கட்டாயமுடையராதலுங்கூடும்; ஆனால், புல்லா அகம் புகுமின் உண்ணுமின்என்பவர் மாட்டு அல்லால் முகம் புகுதல் ஆற்றுமோமேல் - தாம் செல்லுமுன்பே தம்மை முன்போந்து தழுவி,வீட்டுக்கு வாருங்கள், உண்ணுங்கள் என்றுவரவேற்பாரிடத்தன்றி மேன்மக்கள் ஏனையோரிடம்தலைகாட்டுதல் செய்வரோ? தலைகாட்டாரென்க. Explanation (G. U. POPE): Ask only of the courteous. Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Satsangam Dwarka, is conducting the Recitation competition of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam amongst the school children at Sri Devi Kamakshi Mandhir , Aruna Asaf ali Road, New Delhi on 8th  December, 2013. Finals of the selected students shall be held on 22nd December, 2013.  Competition on both the days will start at 10.00 a.m. at the same venue. SYLLABUS FOR RECITATION COMPETITION FOR CHILDERN OF SRI VISHNU SHASRANAMA STOTHRAM GROUP I (Kinder Garden below 5 years): Any 10 slokas starting from viswam Vishnu vashatkara GROUP II (1st and IInd Classes): 25 slokas starting from Viswam Vishnu Vashatkara--- till Avartano Nivruthathma samvrutha sampramarthana- The judges may ask the children any sloka within the syllabus. GROUP III (III,IV AND V Classes): 50 slokas starting from Viswam Vishnu Vashatkara---till Swapana Swavasho vyapi Naikathma Naikakarmakrith. The judges may ask the children any sloka within the syllabus. GROUP IV (VI,VII AND VIII Classes): 100 slokas starting from Viswam Vishnu Vashatkara--- till Anantharoopo Anandharsri Jitamanyur Bhayapahaha. The judges may ask the children any sloka within the syllabus. GROUP V (IX & X Classes): Full Text of Sri Vishnu Sahasranaman starting from Shuklambharatharam Vishnum till Aartha Vishanna shithilascha Bhithaha. The judges may ask the children any sloka within the syllabus. GROUP VI (XI and XII Classes): Full Text of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam starting from Shuklambaratharam Vishnum till Aartha Vishanna Shithilascha Bhithaha. The judges may ask the children any sloka within the syllabus. The judges may ask the meaning of some Divine Namas (Names).
