Translation: All is vanity. பொருள்: நட்பாகிய கயிறுகள் அற்றுப் போயின; பெண்களும் அன்பில் குறைந்தனர்; சுற்றத்தாரின் அன்பாகிய கயிறும் அவிழ்ந்து வீழ்ந்தது; மனத்திலே யோசித்துப் பார்! கடலில் மூழ்கும் கப்பலில் இருப்போர்க்கு நேர்ந்த துன்பம் போலத் துன்பம் (முதுமை) வந்து விட்டது! இனி உயிரோடு இருப்பதில் என்ன பயன் உண்டு? ஒரு பயனும் இல்லை.
