பொருட்பால்– துறவற இயல்– நன்றியில் செல்வம்(யார்க்கும் நன்மை பயவாத செல்வம்)WEALTH THAT PROFITS NOT. நல்லார் நயவர் இருப்ப நயமிலாக் கல்லார்க்கொன் றாகிய காரணம், - தொல்லை வினைப்பய னல்லது வேனெடுங் கண்ணாய்! நினைப்ப வருவதொன் றில். கிழோர் செல்வத்துக்குக்காரணம் அவரது அறிவுடைமை அன்று . பொருள்:     நல்லார் நயவர் இருப்பநயமிலாக் கல்லார்க்கு ஒன்று ஆகிய காரணம் -உயர்ந்த அறிவு செயல்களுடையாரும் இனியருமானமேலோர் உலகத்திதல் வளமின்றியிருக்க,அவ்வினிமையுங் கல்வியறிவுமில்லாக் கீழோர்க்குஒரு செல்வநிலை உண்டான காரணம், தொல்லைவினைப்பயன் அல்லது வேல்நெடு கண்ணாய் நினைப்பவருவதொன்று இல் - வேற்படை போன்ற நீண்டகண்களையுடைய மாதே! பழைய நல்வினையின் பயனேயல்லது வேறு ஆய்ந்து துணிதற்குரிய காரணம் இல்லை. ஸ்பென்சர் பேர்சிவல் (Spencer Perceval, நவம்பர் 1, 1762 – மே 11, 1812) பிரித்தானியாவின் அரசியல்வாதியும் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் பிரதமராகவும் இருந்தவர். ஐக்கிய இராச்சியப் பிரதமர்களுள் கொலை செய்யப்பட்டவர் இவர் ஒருவரே. இவர் 1809 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பிரித்தானியப் பழமைவாதக் கட்சியின் சார்பில் நிதி அமைச்சராகவும் (Chancellor of the Exchequer) மற்றும் கீழவைத் தலைவராகவும் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டுப் பின்னர் பிரதமரானார். இவரது காலத்திலேயே பிரித்தானியக் குடியேற்ற நாடுகளில் அடிமைத் தொழிலை இல்லாதொழிக்கும் சட்டம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது. நாடாளுமன்ற வாயிலில் மே 11, 1812 இல் பேர்சிவலை மனநோய் உள்ள ஜோன் பெல்லிங்ஹம் என்பவன் சுட்டுக்கொன்று காவல்துறையினரிடம் சரணடைந்தான். இவன் பின்னர் ஒரு வாரத்தின் பின்னர் தூக்கிலிடப்பட்டான்.
