நாணமுடையார் வறுமை காலத்திற் தூரதேசதிற் சென்று வாழ்வார்; நாணமில்லாதவர் தாமே உண்டு வாழ்வார் பொருள்: வெட்கமற்றவர்கள் அல்லாதார் (வெட்கம் உள்ளவர்கள்) வறுமையுற்றபோதும் நடந்து சென்று ஆங்காங்கே (செய்யும் சிறு தொழிலால்) பெறும் கலவைச் சோற்றை உண்டு காலத்தைக் கழிப்பார்கள். வெட்கமற்றவர்கள் காலால் நடந்து செல்லாராகி (உழைப்பின்றி) தம் வீட்டினுள்ளேயேயிருந்து, உடல்மேல் வியர்வை மிகுதியாக வடிய, பொரிக்கறியுடன் கூடிய உணவைத்தாமே உண்டு மகிழ்வர். (நாணமில்லார் தமது செல்வத்தைப் பிறர்க்குத் தராமல் தாமே அனுபவிப்பர் என்பது கருத்து).
