காமத்துப்பால்– இன்பவியல்-கற்புடை மகளிர்( CHASTE MATRONHOOD) அரும்பவிழ் தாரினான் எம்அருளும் என்று பெரும்பொய் உரையாதி, பாண; - கரும்பின் கடைக்கண் அனையம்நாம் ஊரற்கு அதனால் இடைக்கண் அனையார்க்கு உரை.            பொருள்:     பாணனே! அரும்புகள் மலர்கின்ற மாலைகள் அணிந்த தலைவன் எமக்கு அருள் புரிவார் என்று பொய்யான சொற்களைக் கூறாதே. ஏனெனில், நாங்கள் கரும்பின் கடைசிக் கணுக்களை ஒத்திருக்கிறோம். அதனால் இப் பேச்சை இடையில் உள்ள கணுக்களைப் போன்ற பரத்தையா¢டம் சொல்!' (நுனிக் கரும்பாகவோ, இடைக் கரும்பாகவோ இல்லாமல் எப்போதும் அடிக்கரும்பாக இருக்கவே குல மகளிர் விரும்புவர் என்பது கருத்தாம். 'மறுமையிலாவது தலைவனின் அன்பைப் பெறவேண்டும்' எனக் குறுந்தொகைப் பாடல் ஒன்றின் தலைவி கூறும் கருத்து இந்தப் பாடலுடன் ஒப்பிடத் தக்கது). Explanation (G. U.
